Various companies announced nine recalls sold at several retailers including Walmart, Burlington Coat Factory, Target.com, HomeGoods, Family Dollar, Babies”R”Us, Toys”R”Us, Amazon, Home Depot, The Container Store and Old Navy, according to recent reports from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Downeast Concepts is recalling about 15,400 folding beach chairs because a 21-month-old girl needed stitches after falling on the chair’s exposed metal rivets that cut her forehead. The chairs, made in China, sold at HomeGoods and elsewhere from June 2011 through June 2012 for between $13 and $25.
